Privacy workflows that fit WordPress

GoScript Advanced Wishlist WordPress Plugin for WooCommerce registers with the WordPress personal-data export and erasure tools. That keeps customer requests in the same privacy workflow you use for the rest of your store, rather than creating a separate manual process for wishlist information.

1. Export a customer’s wishlist data

Use the WordPress personal-data export tool when a customer asks for a copy of the wishlist information connected to their account.

1. In your WordPress admin, go to Tools → Export Personal Data.
2. Enter the email address for the customer’s WordPress or WooCommerce account.
3. Send and confirm the request using the standard WordPress privacy workflow.
4. Once the request is confirmed, generate the export from the WordPress screen.
5. The completed export includes the Advanced Wishlist information associated with that account.

2. What a personal-data export includes

The export is designed to give a useful account of the customer’s Advanced Wishlist activity, including the information that powers their own wishlist experience.

Wishlists and list detailsWishlist names, visibility settings, and saved products are included for the customer’s lists.

Saved-item contextSaved product and variation references, dates added, priority status, private notes, and saved-price baselines are included where available.

Current wishlist interestsActive product-interest records show the products the account currently has saved and their saved-item reference counts.

Attributed purchase recordsWhere available, wishlist-attributed purchase records include the order and product references plus reporting contribution details.

3. Erase account-linked wishlist data

Use WordPress personal-data erasure when you need to remove the wishlist information associated with a customer account. The plugin processes the request as one coordinated cleanup so the related live wishlist state is removed together.

1. In your WordPress admin, go to Tools → Erase Personal Data.
2. Enter the customer’s account email address and follow the standard WordPress confirmation process.
3. After confirmation, run the erasure request from the WordPress screen.
4. The plugin removes the account-linked wishlists, saved items, active saved-product state, and wishlist-attribution records.
5. Review the WordPress completion message and retain your normal privacy-request records where appropriate for your business.

4. What happens to live demand and historical reporting

Erasure removes the customer-linked wishlist records and updates live current-demand state so Current Wishlisters continues to reflect the customers who still actively have each product saved.

• Removing an account’s active saved-product state reduces the live Current Wishlisters count for the relevant products.
• Customer-linked lists, item notes, saved-price baselines, and attribution reconciliation records are removed with the request.
• Historical reporting uses anonymous daily product totals, not customer identities.
• That separation helps you respect account-level privacy requests while retaining useful aggregate context for store reporting.

5. User deletion is covered too

When a WordPress user account is deleted, Advanced Wishlist also removes the associated account-linked wishlist data. This gives your store a consistent outcome whether the request is handled through WordPress privacy tools or through user-account deletion.
