Save the option, not just the product
For many stores, the details are the decision. GoScript Advanced Wishlist for WooCommerce keeps the selected variation and chosen attributes with the saved item, helping customers return to the size, colour, material, or other option that first caught their attention.
1. How customers save a variation
On a variable WooCommerce product, the wishlist action reads the current product selection. Customers can make a confident choice now, then return to the exact option later.
- A customer opens a variable product page.
- They choose the available product options, such as size, colour, or finish.
- WooCommerce resolves the selected variation.
- The customer selects Add to Wishlist.
- GoScript Advanced Wishlist stores the matching variation and selected attributes with the saved item.
2. What is preserved with the saved item
Keeping selection details together makes a wishlist more useful than a generic product bookmark. It gives customers a clearer path back to the version of the product they actually considered.
3. Test a real selection
A quick test with a live variable product helps confirm that the storefront gives customers the precise, return-friendly wishlist experience you intend.
- Use a variable product with at least two selectable attributes, such as size and colour.
- Choose one available combination before selecting the wishlist button.
- Open My Account → Wishlists and confirm the saved item identifies the selected option.
- Try a different variation of the same parent product and confirm it remains a distinct precise selection when saved.
- For an available selection, add it back to the Cart and confirm the chosen option follows the customer into the purchase flow.
