Make room for real shopping intent
GoScript Advanced Wishlist WordPress Plugin for WooCommerce lets customers keep a default My Wishlist and create additional collections for occasions, projects, people, or future purchases. Wishlist limits give you a simple way to set the scale of that experience for your store.
1. The two limit controls
The Wishlist limits section contains one control for the number of lists a customer can own and one for the number of products in each individual list.
2. Set your limits
Choose values that match the breadth of your catalogue and the way you expect shoppers to use wishlists.
- In WordPress, open GoScript Advanced Wishlist → Settings.
- Find the Wishlist limits section.
- Set Maximum wishlists per account.
- Set Maximum products per wishlist.
- Select Save changes.
3. How limits feel for customers
Limits are enforced at the moment a customer creates a list or saves another product, so the experience stays clear and predictable.
- If an account reaches its wishlist limit, the customer sees that they have reached the available number of collections.
- If one list reaches its product limit, the customer is told that the list is full and can create another wishlist when their account still has room.
- Customers can continue to manage, rename, share, move, copy, and remove products in existing lists.
- Each list remains an independent collection, so a product limit on one list does not change the content of another.
- Choose limits that make sense for your store; customers may use separate lists for different projects, gift ideas, or future purchases.
4. Choose values with confidence
There is no universal perfect number. A curated catalogue may benefit from compact collections, while a broad catalogue or a gift-focused store may benefit from more room to save and organise.
- Start with the defaults to give customers a generous, practical baseline.
- Consider your catalogue size, price range, and how shoppers commonly plan purchases.
- Use additional lists to support natural customer journeys rather than forcing unrelated ideas into one collection.
- Review the way customers are using wishlists over time, then refine limits only when your real store experience calls for it.
