Troubleshooting

Wishlist Intelligence shows little or no data

Wishlist Intelligence grows with real customer interest. A quiet report is often the first chapter of a useful signal-check the active period and filters, then build the meaningful activity your store wants to understand.

What starts Wishlist Intelligence

GoScript Advanced Wishlist WordPress Plugin for WooCommerce builds reporting from real, account-linked activity on your store. The more customers save products and later place qualifying paid orders, the more useful patterns your reports can reveal.

1. Check the selected period and filters first

A report can look empty simply because the current view is too narrow. Start broad, then filter once you have confirmed the store-wide activity is visible.

  1. Open Advanced Wishlist → Reports.
  2. Choose a broader available period, such as 30 or 90 days, to capture more recent store activity.
  3. Clear the Product, Category, and Tag filters to return to an all-products view.
  4. Review the overview metrics and the All Products section before narrowing the scope again.
  5. Add filters back one at a time to identify whether a selected product, category, or tag is excluding the activity you expect to see.

2. Confirm the activity you expect to see

Different Wishlist Intelligence metrics begin with different customer actions. Matching the action to the metric makes it easy to test whether a quiet result is expected or needs another check.

Wishlist AddsBegins when a signed-in customer first creates active interest in a product by saving it to a wishlist.
Current WishlistersShows the distinct customers who still have at least one matching product saved right now.
Wishlist PurchasesRequires a qualifying paid WooCommerce order from the customer for a product with active saved-product interest.
Trend and attention insightsNeed enough recent activity and active demand to identify patterns worth surfacing prominently.

3. Run a clean store test

A simple end-to-end test confirms that the customer experience and reporting pipeline are connected on your site.

  1. Sign in with a test WooCommerce customer account.
  2. Save a published product to My Wishlist and confirm the button changes to the active state.
  3. Open the customer’s My Wishlist and confirm the product is present.
  4. In a separate admin session, review Reports with a broad period and no filters. The product’s active interest should be represented in current-demand reporting.
  5. To test purchase metrics, complete a qualifying paid order for that customer and saved product, then review the appropriate reporting period.

4. Review your insight thresholds

Some focused reports intentionally wait for enough activity to make the result useful. The Trending Products and Products Worth Attention sections each use configurable thresholds, helping a smaller store avoid noise and a larger store concentrate on meaningful demand.

  • Open Advanced Wishlist → Settings and find the Analytics settings.
  • Review the minimum Wishlist Adds for Trending Products.
  • Review the minimum Current Wishlisters for Products Worth Attention.
  • Choose thresholds that match the natural level of customer activity on your store.
  • Use the overview and All Products reports for the fuller picture while a focused insight card is waiting for more qualifying activity.

5. Make the most of a growing signal

A light early report is an opportunity to establish a useful baseline. As more signed-in customers save products and progress into purchases, Wishlist Intelligence can reveal momentum, current demand, and the products that deserve more attention.

  • Make the wishlist button easy to discover on the product pages and grids that matter most.
  • Use a clear account prompt so visitors understand why signing in helps them return to saved products.
  • Review the 30- or 90-day view regularly to see activity accumulate into useful patterns.
  • Use Current Wishlisters alongside new Adds to distinguish ongoing product demand from fresh momentum.
  • Use the reports as a store-local source of merchandising insight, then act on the products customers are telling you they care about.
