The page behind every shared link

GoScript Advanced Wishlist for WooCommerce uses a normal published WordPress page as the public home for shared wishlists. This lets your theme or page builder provide the layout, while the plugin supplies the secure shared-list content when a visitor opens a valid link.

1. Select or create the Shared Wishlist Page

Choose the page that should host the public experience from the Advanced Wishlist settings.

1. In WordPress, open GoScript Advanced Wishlist → Settings.
2. Find the Shared wishlist page section.
3. Choose an existing published page from Shared Wishlist Page, or create a new page.
4. Make sure the page content includes [goscript_shared_wishlist].
5. Save your settings, then open a valid share link to confirm the page is working.

2. Choose a clear public URL base

Shared links use the configurable Shared Wishlist URL Base to create their public address. By default, GoScript Advanced Wishlist WordPress Plugin for WooCommerce uses wishlist, producing a link in the form /wishlist/share-token/.

Keep it recognisableChoose a short, customer-friendly base such as wishlist that makes the destination clear.

Keep it uniqueAvoid a base already used by another WordPress page, endpoint, product route, or taxonomy.

Change it in SettingsUpdate the Shared Wishlist URL Base only when your URL structure needs a different public route.

Links keep their secure tokenChanging the base refreshes the plugin’s rewrite rule while the link token continues to identify the chosen shared wishlist.

3. Check the public experience

Before encouraging customers to share, take a minute to open a real link as a visitor. It is the quickest way to confirm the page is on brand and ready for the people receiving it.

• Create or enable a share link from a test wishlist in My Account → Wishlists.
• Open the copied link in a private browser window or while signed out.
• Confirm the shared list name, published products, current prices, stock information, and available Cart actions look right.
• Check that the page uses the theme or page-builder layout you expect around the shortcode.
• If the list does not display, confirm the selected page is published and still contains [goscript_shared_wishlist].
