Wishlist Demand - Out of Stock

See unavailable products customers are still saving-so stock planning and product decisions can stay connected to the demand shoppers are actively showing you.

When customer interest outlasts availability

Wishlist Demand - Out of Stock highlights unavailable products that still have active wishlist demand. In GoScript Advanced Wishlist WordPress Plugin for WooCommerce, it gives you a direct view of the products customers continue to care about even when they are not currently available to purchase.

1. How a product appears in the report

The report combines the product’s current availability status with live wishlist demand. Products appear when they are not currently in stock and at least one customer still has the product saved.

Unavailable productThe product’s WooCommerce stock status is not in stock, so it is treated as unavailable for this report.
Current wishlist demandAt least one distinct customer currently has the product saved in an active wishlist.
Recent interest contextThe report also shows Wishlist Adds from the selected period, giving useful context around new interest.
Demand-first orderProducts are listed with the strongest Current Wishlisters count first, helping the clearest active demand rise to the top.

2. What the report can tell you

This report is a simple but powerful bridge between availability and customer interest. It helps you identify products that are unavailable while customers are still choosing to keep them on a wishlist.

  • Find out-of-stock products with the largest active customer audience.
  • See whether fresh Wishlist Adds are still arriving for unavailable products during the selected period.
  • Compare demand across product groups by applying product, category, or tag filters.
  • Use the shortlist as a prompt for a stock, sourcing, product-page, or range-planning conversation.

3. Use the shortlist for practical stock follow-up

Bring the report into the workflow where your team reviews stock, collection priorities, and product availability.

  1. Open Reports → Wishlist Demand - Out of Stock.
  2. Choose the reporting period and any filters that match the product group you want to review.
  3. Start with products carrying the highest Current Wishlisters count, then review their recent Wishlist Adds.
  4. Check the product’s supply status, planned availability, alternatives, and product-page presentation.
  5. Use the demand signal to prioritise the next conversation or action, then return to the report as availability changes.

4. Combine availability with the full demand picture

Out-of-stock demand is most useful when it is read alongside the broader Wishlist Intelligence story. This keeps availability decisions connected to active interest, fresh momentum, and the product performance around the rest of your catalogue.

  • Use Most Wanted Products to see whether the unavailable item is part of your wider active-demand shortlist.
  • Use Trending Wishlist Products to see whether new interest is still accelerating.
  • Use All Products to compare wishlist activity, purchase performance, and attributed revenue across related products.
  • Use product, category, or tag filters to make inventory discussions more focused and actionable.
