1. About GoScript

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the GoScript website, Customer Portal, software products, licenses, trials, downloads, and related services provided through GoScript.

By creating an account, starting a trial, purchasing a license, downloading a GoScript product, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use GoScript products or services.

GoScript provides premium software plugins for WordPress and WooCommerce, together with related licensing, customer-account, download, documentation, and support services. The public website is available at goscript.net and customer accounts, licenses, purchases, trials, and downloads are managed through the Customer Portal at app.goscript.net.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use paid GoScript services. Some services require a customer account.

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your password confidential, maintaining reasonable account security, and notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. You may not share account credentials in a way that lets unauthorized parties access licenses, downloads, or other account-only services.

GoScript may suspend account access where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, security issues, or misuse of the service.

3. Purchases

GoScript software licenses are purchased through payment flows provided by Stripe. Stripe processes payment information and payment-card details. GoScript does not directly collect or store your payment-card information. Stripe also provides payment receipts and invoices where applicable.

A purchase is fulfilled only after GoScript receives and successfully verifies the relevant payment information from Stripe. The browser confirmation page alone does not constitute proof that a license has been issued, and fulfillment may take a short time after checkout.

Unless a checkout or product page states otherwise, a normal purchase creates a new paid license.

4. License terms

When you purchase a GoScript product, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use that software in accordance with the license associated with your purchase.

Your license may include a defined license term, a maximum number of active WordPress sites, access to the current downloadable release while the license is active, and support or other entitlements described on the applicable product or purchase page. The exact duration, activation limit, price, and product-specific terms are displayed at purchase or in your Customer Portal.

A license does not transfer ownership of the software, source code, branding, documentation, or other intellectual property to you.

5. Site activations

Each license has an activation limit. An activation generally represents one WordPress site host using the license. You may activate the software only up to the number of sites permitted by your license.

License activation is performed from within the applicable GoScript WordPress plugin. The Customer Portal displays activation usage, but does not currently provide a customer-facing, website-by-website activation-management interface. You may not attempt to circumvent activation limits, licensing checks, or other technical restrictions.

6. License expiration

Paid licenses

When a paid license reaches the end of its paid term, new site activations and Customer Portal downloads are no longer available. An existing valid WordPress activation may continue to run licensed plugin functionality, and the license may be renewed where renewal is available. A paid license does not automatically disable an already valid installation solely because its paid term has expired.

Trial licenses

When a trial expires, new activations and downloads are no longer available, and licensed plugin functionality requiring an active trial is no longer permitted to continue. Trial and paid licenses are separate license records.

7. Renewals

GoScript licenses do not automatically renew. Renewals are customer-initiated. Where a paid license is eligible for renewal, you can use the Renew action in the Customer Portal and complete payment through Stripe.

A renewal extends the existing paid license rather than creating a replacement license. If renewal is completed before the current expiry date, the new license term is added to the existing term. If renewal occurs after expiration, the new term begins from the successful renewal payment date.

8. Free trials

Some GoScript products may offer a free trial. Trial availability, duration, and activation limits may vary by product and will be shown when a trial is offered.

  • No credit card is required to start an available trial.
  • One trial may be claimed per customer for a particular product.
  • A site already used for a trial of a product may not be eligible for another trial license for that product.
  • Trial access and downloads end when the trial expires.

Buying a paid license after a trial creates a separate paid license. It does not convert or extend the trial license. GoScript may modify, suspend, or discontinue future trial offers, but will not shorten an already-issued trial except where necessary because of fraud, abuse, license revocation, or another violation of these Terms.

9. Software downloads

Downloads are provided through the Customer Portal and require an eligible license. While your license has download entitlement, you may download the current published version of the applicable plugin. Downloads are available only to the customer account that owns the license.

GoScript does not currently provide customer access to historical plugin releases through the Customer Portal. You may keep reasonable backup copies of software you have lawfully downloaded for your own licensed use.

10. Software updates

GoScript may release fixes, improvements, compatibility changes, or new versions from time to time. The current GoScript licensing platform does not provide automatic WordPress plugin updates. Where a newer release is available and your license includes download entitlement, you may download the current release from your Customer Portal.

We do not guarantee that updates will be released according to any particular schedule.

11. Support

GoScript provides documentation and support resources to help customers use our products. Support may include assistance with installing and activating GoScript plugins, understanding plugin settings and functionality, licensing and account issues, and troubleshooting GoScript product behavior.

Support does not include an obligation to develop custom features; modify third-party plugins or themes; repair unrelated WordPress, hosting, server, or database problems; or guarantee compatibility with every third-party extension, theme, page builder, hosting environment, or custom implementation. We may ask for technical information, screenshots, software versions, or other details needed to investigate an issue.

12. Compatibility

GoScript products are designed for the WordPress and WooCommerce versions and environments stated on their respective product pages or documentation. Software environments vary, and compatibility with one WordPress site, theme, extension, hosting provider, or configuration does not guarantee compatibility with every other environment.

You are responsible for maintaining suitable backups and for testing software appropriately before making changes to a production website.

13. Refunds

New purchases and renewals

GoScript offers a 14-day refund period for new paid license purchases. If you are not satisfied with a GoScript plugin, you may request a refund within 14 days of the original purchase date. Renewal payments are also eligible for a refund when requested within 14 days of the renewal payment date.

To request a refund, contact GoScript Support and include the email address used for the purchase, the plugin name, and enough information for us to identify the purchase. Once approved, the affected paid license may be revoked and its associated download and activation entitlements may end. Refunds are generally returned through the original payment method and may take additional time to appear depending on Stripe, your bank, or your card provider.

If a renewal is refunded, the additional license term granted by that renewal may be removed. If that causes the paid license term to have expired, new downloads and activations will no longer be available, while the runtime behavior applicable to an expired paid license remains governed by these Terms.

Free trials, misuse, and consumer rights

Free trials do not involve payment and are not eligible for a monetary refund. GoScript may refuse a refund request where there is clear evidence of fraud, refund abuse, unauthorized distribution, or other material misuse, except where applicable law requires otherwise. This policy does not limit mandatory refund, cancellation, or consumer-protection rights that may apply under the laws of your country.

14. Acceptable use

You may not use GoScript products or services to violate applicable law; infringe another person’s intellectual-property rights; bypass or interfere with licensing or activation controls; obtain or distribute software without proper authorization; or share, sell, sublicense, rent, or transfer a license unless expressly permitted by GoScript.

You also may not attempt unauthorized access to GoScript accounts, systems, infrastructure, downloads, licensing services, or administrative functionality; interfere with, overload, probe, exploit, or disrupt GoScript services; or use automated means to abuse trial, account, download, or licensing systems. We may suspend or revoke access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been materially violated.

15. Intellectual property

GoScript products, software, source code, website content, documentation, graphics, trademarks, logos, designs, and related materials are owned by GoScript or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Except for the limited software-use rights granted under your license, no rights are transferred to you. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, sublicense, publish, or commercially exploit GoScript software or documentation except where expressly permitted by us or by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms restricts rights that applicable open-source licenses may independently grant in relation to third-party components included in our products.

16. Third-party services

GoScript products and services interact with third-party platforms, including WordPress, WooCommerce, Stripe, hosting providers, browsers, and other software. Those third parties operate independently and may have their own terms, privacy practices, availability, and technical requirements.

GoScript is not responsible for changes, outages, discontinued functionality, incompatibilities, or other actions caused by third-party services outside our reasonable control.

17. Availability and changes

We work to keep GoScript products and online services available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, fix security or technical issues, change or improve features, discontinue obsolete functionality, update compatibility requirements, or modify the Customer Portal or licensing infrastructure.

Where reasonably practical, material changes affecting customers will be communicated through the website, Customer Portal, documentation, or email.

18. Product discontinuation

GoScript may discontinue the sale or active development of a product. If this happens, we will determine reasonable transition arrangements based on the circumstances, existing customer entitlements, technical feasibility, and applicable legal requirements.

Nothing in these Terms requires GoScript to develop, maintain, or support a product indefinitely.

19. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GoScript products and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that software will be completely error-free, that every plugin will work with every third-party theme, extension, host, or custom configuration, that use of a plugin will increase revenue, conversion rates, sales, traffic, or other business results, or that services will always be available without interruption.

Any mandatory warranties or statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

20. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GoScript will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from the use of, or inability to use, our products or services, including loss of profits, revenue, data, business opportunities, or goodwill. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate website, database, and server backups.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, GoScript’s aggregate liability arising from a particular paid product or service will, to the extent permitted by law, be limited to the amount you paid to GoScript for that product or service during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply where applicable law prohibits it.

21. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold GoScript harmless from claims, losses, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of our products or services, your material violation of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights through your use of GoScript products.

This section does not apply where prohibited by applicable consumer-protection law.

22. Account or license suspension

We may suspend an account or revoke a license where reasonably necessary because of fraud or suspected fraud, payment abuse, unauthorized redistribution, attempted circumvention of licensing controls, security threats, material violation of these Terms, or legal or regulatory requirements.

Where appropriate and reasonably possible, we may contact you before or after taking such action. Account suspension and license revocation are separate actions and may have different effects on portal access and plugin entitlement.

23. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in the GoScript Privacy Policy. By using GoScript services, you acknowledge that some personal and technical information must be processed to provide customer accounts, purchases, downloads, licensing, support, and related functionality.

Payment-card information is handled by Stripe rather than stored by GoScript.

24. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to products or services, business practices, legal or regulatory requirements, or security and technical changes. Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

If a change materially affects existing customers, we may also provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use of GoScript services after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

25. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence apply.

Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Romania, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

26. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. The invalid provision will be interpreted or replaced to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intended purpose where legally possible.

27. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with applicable product-specific terms, purchase information, the Privacy Policy, and other policies expressly incorporated by reference, form the agreement between you and GoScript regarding your use of the applicable services.
