Wishlist Intelligence

Current Wishlisters explained

See the distinct customers who are actively holding a product in mind-one of the clearest signals of live, purchase-ready interest across your catalogue.

A cleaner view of active demand

Current Wishlisters shows how many distinct customers currently have a matching product saved. In GoScript Advanced Wishlist WordPress Plugin for WooCommerce, that makes the metric a powerful view of live interest: it is based on who still cares about a product now, not simply how many wishlist rows have existed over time.

1. What the metric counts

The metric is calculated from active saved-product state. It reflects a customer who currently has the product saved in at least one of their wishlists.

Active saved interestThe product is currently present in a customer’s wishlist, making it part of the store’s active demand picture.
Distinct customersEach customer counts once per product, even if they keep that product in multiple wishlists or organise it in different ways.
Product-level demandThe count belongs to the matching product, helping you compare active interest throughout the catalogue.
Practical visibilityUse the metric in the performance snapshot, product reports, WooCommerce product views, and demand-focused report sections.

2. Why it differs from wishlist-item counts

A wishlist item count and Current Wishlisters answer different questions. Item counts can represent several list entries from the same customer. Current Wishlisters focuses instead on the number of individual customers who currently have the product saved.

  • A customer saving one product in two different wishlists creates two list-item entries but one Current Wishlister for that product.
  • A customer who removes the product from every wishlist no longer contributes to its Current Wishlisters count.
  • Multiple customers saving the same product each contribute one to the product’s active-demand count.
  • Because it is customer-based, the metric is especially useful for comparing meaningful demand between products.

3. Use Current Wishlisters with other signals

Active demand becomes even more useful when you pair it with recent movement and purchase performance.

  1. Start with the products showing the strongest Current Wishlisters count.
  2. Check Wishlist Adds and Momentum to see whether new interest is still growing.
  3. Review Wishlist Purchases, Purchase Rate, and Attributed Revenue to understand how that demand is progressing into paid-order outcomes.
  4. Use Products Worth Attention and Wishlist Demand - Out of Stock to find high-interest products that may deserve a closer merchandising or availability review.

4. Make active demand easier to act on

Current Wishlisters gives your store a more immediate picture of customer intent than completed sales alone. It can help you recognise products shoppers are keeping close, focus product pages and campaigns, and notice demand that may deserve a faster response.

  • Use high Current Wishlisters to surface products customers are actively considering.
  • Compare it with stock status to spot demand that may be limited by availability.
  • Use it with Trending Wishlist Products to separate established demand from interest that is newly accelerating.
  • Review it by product, category, or tag to align the insight with how your store is planned and merchandised.

Next steps

Use active demand alongside the product reports that reveal what customers want most and where an opportunity is emerging.
