Wishlist Purchases and Purchase Rate

See how saved-product interest is progressing into real WooCommerce purchase outcomes-and use that evidence to recognise the wishlist activity creating meaningful commercial value.

From saved interest to paid-order outcomes

GoScript Advanced Wishlist WordPress Plugin for WooCommerce helps you see more than a saved product count. Wishlist Purchases and Wishlist Purchase Rate connect qualifying paid-order outcomes with the customer interest that came before them, giving you a confident way to understand which saved-product demand is moving forward.

1. What counts as a Wishlist Purchase

A Wishlist Purchase is recorded for a paid order containing a product that was actively wishlisted when that order first qualified. This gives the report a consistent, store-local link between active saved interest and the completed order.

Active saved interestThe product was present in the customer’s active wishlist state when the order first met the qualifying condition.
Paid order outcomeThe product appears in a qualifying paid WooCommerce order, creating the reported Wishlist Purchase outcome.
Product-level connectionThe outcome belongs to the specific purchased product, so you can investigate purchase progress across the catalogue.
Revenue-ready insightThe same qualified purchase model supports Attributed Revenue and Revenue per Wishlist Add reporting.

2. How Wishlist Purchase Rate is calculated

Wishlist Purchase Rate compares Wishlist Purchases with new Wishlist Adds in the selected period:

Wishlist Purchase Rate = Wishlist Purchases ÷ Wishlist Adds

The ratio helps you understand how saved-product interest is progressing into purchases during the same reporting window. Read it alongside the underlying volumes so the context behind the percentage stays clear.

  • A stronger rate can indicate that saved interest is converting into paid-order activity more effectively during the selected period.
  • Wishlist Purchases can include repeat purchases, so the rate can be higher than 100% when the period contains fewer new Wishlist Adds.
  • When there are no new Wishlist Adds to divide by, use the underlying purchase and demand metrics rather than treating a ratio as the whole story.
  • Pair the rate with Current Wishlisters and Wishlist Momentum to see both the present demand base and the direction of fresh interest.

3. Read Purchases and Purchase Rate together

The two metrics are designed to complement each other. One shows the count of qualifying outcomes; the other puts that count in the context of new wishlist interest.

  1. Choose the reporting period that matches the decision you need to make.
  2. Review Wishlist Purchases to see the number of qualifying paid-order outcomes.
  3. Read Purchase Rate beside Wishlist Adds to understand how much fresh customer interest entered the period.
  4. Check Attributed Revenue and Revenue per Wishlist Add to add commercial-value context.
  5. Open the product reports to identify the specific items where customer saves are progressing into purchases most effectively.

4. Use the insight to strengthen merchandising

Wishlist purchase insight can help you recognise the product experiences already resonating with customers. Use it to support more informed collection planning, product visibility, campaign timing, and follow-up across your store.

  • Identify saved products that are consistently turning into paid-order outcomes.
  • Compare higher-demand products with their purchase progress to focus attention where it can matter most.
  • Review groups by product, category, or tag to connect reporting with real merchandising decisions.
  • Use changes over time to refine the way you feature products customers are actively considering.
