Wishlist Buttons & Placement

Login and registration guidance for signed-out visitors

Turn a save-for-later moment into a clear invitation to create or use an account-so customers can keep their wishlist with them whenever they return.

Why account guidance matters

GoScript Advanced Wishlist for WooCommerce is designed around WooCommerce customer accounts. That gives shoppers a dependable wishlist they can revisit across sessions and devices, while giving your store a meaningful, customer-connected view of saved-product demand.

1. Configure the account prompt

Open Advanced Wishlist → Settings and find the Login requirement section. These controls let the prompt sound like your store and point visitors to the right account pages.

  1. Set the Heading that appears in the signed-out dialog.
  2. Write a short Message that explains why signing in or registering is worthwhile.
  3. Set the Login button label.
  4. Choose the Login page. By default, the plugin uses your WooCommerce My Account page when it is available.
  5. Optionally choose a Registration page and set its button label.
  6. Save your changes.

2. Give visitors a clear next step

The best account prompt is concise, confident, and helpful. It should make the benefit plain: signing in lets customers save products now and return to them when they are ready.

HeadingUse a direct prompt such as Sign in to use your wishlist.
MessageExplain that a customer can save products and return to them later from their account.
Login routePoint existing customers to the account page they already know and trust.
Registration routeAdd a registration page when you want new shoppers to create an account in the same flow.

3. Test the signed-out experience

A quick front-end check ensures that the transition from product interest to customer account feels smooth, polished, and on-brand.

  • Open a product while signed out and select the wishlist button.
  • Confirm the dialog heading, message, and buttons match the wording you configured.
  • Confirm the login button leads to the selected login page.
  • If you configured a registration page, confirm its button appears and opens the correct page.
  • Sign in or register, then return to a product and confirm the customer can save it to My Wishlist.

Next steps

Once visitors have a clear route into their account, continue with the customer wishlist experience they will use after saving.
