Customer Wishlists

How My Wishlist works

Give every customer a simple, dependable home for the products that caught their attention-ready whenever they are ready to return.

The customer’s natural starting list

My Wishlist is the default list in GoScript Advanced Wishlist for WooCommerce. When a signed-in customer saves their first product, the plugin creates this account-linked list automatically-giving them an immediate, familiar place to revisit products across future sessions and devices.

1. How a product arrives in My Wishlist

The saving experience is intentionally simple: a customer spots a product they like, chooses the wishlist button, and the product is kept with their account instead of being lost when the browsing session ends.

  1. A customer signs in to their WooCommerce account.
  2. They select the wishlist button on a supported product page or product grid.
  3. If they do not yet have a list, the plugin creates My Wishlist.
  4. The product is added to the customer’s default list, including the selected variation when one was chosen.
  5. The customer can open My Account → Wishlists to see the saved product at any time.

2. What customers can do from their wishlist

My Wishlist is more than a saved-items list. It keeps customers connected to the products they care about while making the path back to purchase feel straightforward and personal.

Return to saved ideasOpen the Wishlists area from My Account and switch between the customer’s collections.
See the current product stateReview saved items and their current availability and price information before deciding what to do next.
Organise or shareMove or copy items between lists, add personal details, and share a list when that is useful.
Move toward purchaseAdd available products back to the WooCommerce Cart whenever the customer is ready.

3. Test the first saved product

Testing the full customer journey helps you see the polished, return-friendly experience your shoppers will receive.

  • Sign in with a test customer account.
  • Save a product from a single-product page, then confirm it appears in My Account → Wishlists.
  • Save a product from a product grid and confirm it reaches the same list.
  • Open the item and confirm the product information is useful and recognisable.
  • For an available item, add it back to the Cart to confirm the return-to-purchase flow feels smooth.
