Build a recognisable save action
Small details make the wishlist button feel instantly familiar. The GoScript Advanced Wishlist WordPress Plugin for WooCommerce gives you practical choices that shape how the action reads at a glance-without making customers learn a new interaction.
1. Choose a preset that fits your store
Presets establish the button’s visual character. Choose the closest option, check the live preview, and then decide whether any extra adjustments will improve the shopping experience.
2. Select the icon and words shoppers will see
Icons and labels work together to make intent obvious. Keep the pair simple, direct, and consistent with the vocabulary already used across your WooCommerce store.
- Set Display to Icon + text or Icon only.
- Choose Heart, Star, or Bookmark as the button icon.
- Set the normal Label, such as Add to Wishlist.
- Set the In wishlist label, such as In Wishlist, so the saved state feels clear when the customer returns.
- Review both states in the Button preview before saving.
3. Choose a comfortable scale
Size should support the product layout, not dominate it. Review the same choice on detailed product pages and denser catalogue cards before you publish it site-wide.
- Small works well for compact grid cards and visual layouts with several actions.
- Medium is the balanced default for most single-product and catalogue contexts.
- Large can support a spacious product page where saving deserves more visual weight.
- Set Icon size between 12 and 48 pixels to maintain a balanced label-to-icon relationship.
- Check product grids on smaller screens to make sure the action remains comfortable to tap.
