Customer Wishlists

Marking wishlist items as priority

Give customers a simple way to spotlight the saved products they care about most, so an evolving wishlist stays focused on what feels closest to purchase.

Make the important items stand out

Wishlists often grow as customers browse. The priority marker in GoScript Advanced Wishlist for WooCommerce gives shoppers a lightweight way to say “this one matters,” helping them separate a promising idea from the products they are most likely to revisit, share, or buy.

1. Mark an item as priority

Customers can toggle priority directly from a saved item inside My Account → Wishlists. The action is quick enough to use naturally as plans change.

  1. Sign in and open My Account → Wishlists.
  2. Choose the list that contains the product.
  3. Find the saved item and select the star action labelled Mark as priority.
  4. Confirm the visible Priority badge appears on the item.
  5. Select the same star action again whenever the product no longer needs priority status.

2. How priority fits the wishlist experience

Priority works alongside the rest of the customer’s saved-product context. It is a practical visual signal, not a separate list type or a commitment to buy.

Visible badgePriority items display a clear badge, making the customer’s strongest interests easy to spot.
Easy to reverseThe same control removes priority whenever the customer’s plans change.
Moves and copies with contextWhen an item is moved or copied to another wishlist, its priority state is preserved with the saved selection.
Works with other detailsPriority can sit alongside a private note, selected variation, and return-to-Cart action.

3. Use priority with intention

Priority is most helpful when it stays meaningful. Encourage customers to use it for the items that need a little extra attention, then let the rest of the wishlist remain a comfortable place to explore.

  • Mark a product as priority with a test customer and confirm the badge appears.
  • Remove the marker and confirm the saved product remains in the wishlist.
  • Add a private note to a priority item to test how the two details work together.
  • Copy a priority item to another list and confirm the marker follows the item.
  • Check the wishlist at mobile width so the star action stays easy to understand and use.
