Set up one useful test account
Use a real WooCommerce customer account rather than an administrator session. This lets you see the same connected experience your shoppers will use, including the save button, My Account → Wishlists, and the route back to Cart.
- Confirm your Advanced Wishlist license is active and Plugin functionality is enabled.
- Choose one in-stock simple product and, if your catalogue has one, one variable product with a clear selected option.
- Sign in as a test customer from the storefront-not only from WordPress administration.
1. Save the first product
Visit a product page where you have enabled the wishlist button. Select Add to Wishlist and confirm the interface acknowledges that the product has been saved.
- Open the selected product as your signed-in test customer.
- Choose any required variation options before saving a variable product.
- Select the wishlist button and confirm the product is added successfully.
- Refresh or revisit the page to confirm the saved state still communicates clearly to the customer.
When the customer saves their first product, the plugin creates the default My Wishlist automatically. This keeps customer accounts clean until a shopper has a real reason to start a list.
2. Review the customer’s wishlist
Open My Account → Wishlists and make sure the saved product looks useful in context. The list should make it easy for a shopper to recognise what they saved and decide what to do next.
- Confirm the product name, image, current price, and selected variation are easy to understand.
- Optionally add a private note or mark the item as a priority to see the organisational tools in action.
- Choose Add to cart for an available saved product, then confirm the Cart contains the correct product selection.
3. Check the signed-out experience
Sign out, then return to a product with a wishlist button. Advanced Wishlist intentionally does not create a guest list. Instead, it shows the login or registration guidance you configure, keeping saved products connected to a customer account rather than an anonymous browser session.
