Wishlist Intelligence

Revenue per Wishlist Add and Attributed Revenue

Understand the commercial value building behind saved-product interest-then use it to recognise the products and customer journeys creating the strongest contribution for your store.

Give saved interest a commercial context

GoScript Advanced Wishlist WordPress Plugin for WooCommerce helps you connect customer intent to qualified paid-order value. Attributed Revenue shows the product revenue from wishlist-driven purchases, while Revenue per Wishlist Add helps you understand the average value associated with each new saved-product interest in the selected period.

1. What Attributed Revenue represents

Attributed Revenue is product-only, refund-adjusted revenue from qualifying wishlist purchases. It gives your store a focused view of the value connected to products that were actively wishlisted when their order first qualified.

Qualified purchasesRevenue is connected to paid-order outcomes that meet the plugin’s wishlist purchase attribution rules.
Product-only valueThe metric reflects product revenue, keeping the product-level contribution clear rather than mixing in shipping and tax.
Refund-adjusted reportingProduct refunds are reflected in the reporting so the revenue picture stays aligned with the current paid-order value.
Useful by productUse product, category, and tag views to find the catalogue areas where wishlist interest is contributing the most value.

2. How Revenue per Wishlist Add is calculated

Revenue per Wishlist Add is the average attributed revenue generated for each new Wishlist Add in the selected reporting period:

Revenue per Wishlist Add = Attributed Revenue ÷ Wishlist Adds

This measure gives you a compact way to compare the commercial context around fresh saved-product interest across your own reporting periods, product groups, and catalogue opportunities.

  • The calculation uses new Wishlist Adds from the selected period as its denominator.
  • It is displayed as a dash when there are no new adds to divide by.
  • It complements Attributed Revenue: one shows the overall qualifying value, the other relates that value to fresh customer interest.
  • Use both with the underlying purchase count and active demand signals for the most complete reading.

3. Read the two metrics together

Use Attributed Revenue and Revenue per Wishlist Add as two views of the same underlying opportunity: the total contribution and the value associated with each fresh expression of customer interest.

  1. Choose a reporting period that matches your planning or review cycle.
  2. Review Attributed Revenue to understand the product-only, refund-adjusted contribution from qualifying wishlist purchases.
  3. Check Revenue per Wishlist Add to add context around the new wishlist interest created during that period.
  4. Compare Wishlist Purchases, Purchase Rate, and Current Wishlisters to understand the demand and purchase activity behind the value.
  5. Open the product reports to identify the products, categories, or tags worth prioritising next.

4. Turn value signals into better priorities

Wishlist revenue insight gives you a stronger foundation for choosing where to focus product visibility and merchandising energy. It can highlight saved-product demand that is already proving meaningful and help you keep attention on opportunities customers value.

  • Identify products with strong attributed value from wishlist-driven purchases.
  • Compare product groups to see where new wishlist interest is supporting the most value.
  • Use the metrics with demand and stock signals to guide more responsive product planning.
  • Review changes over time to keep merchandising decisions connected to real customer behaviour.
