The GoScript Smart Cart Recommendations WordPress plugin can use WooCommerce purchase history to discover strong product relationships automatically. For individual products that deserve a more deliberate pairing, manual recommendations let you choose the products that should be considered whenever that item is in the shopper’s Cart.
It is a confident way to support new launches, signature add-ons, carefully planned bundles, and merchandising moments where you already know the next useful product to show.
When manual recommendations make the most sense
Use a manual product list when a pairing is strategically important, when a product is too new to have meaningful order history, or when your team wants to guide discovery with a curated selection.

Set a manual list for a product
- Open the product in WooCommerce and find the Smart Cart Recommendations product-level settings.
- Choose the manual recommendation mode for that product.
- Select the products you want to offer as direct Cart suggestions.
- Save or update the product, then refresh a representative Cart to review the section.
The product-level setting overrides the global recommendation source for that individual product. Your selected products become the starting point for its Cart recommendation candidates.
Keep curated choices useful at the point of purchase
Manual choices still move through the final suitability checks before they appear. Products already in the Cart, unavailable products, hidden products, non-purchasable products, duplicate candidates, and globally excluded products are kept out of the displayed section.
Pair manual lists with your Cart controls
Your global Cart placement, title, product-count, image, price, and Add to Cart settings still shape how manual recommendations are presented. This makes it easy to keep the experience visually consistent, even when different products use different recommendation sources.
If your manual list does not fill every available product space, the plugin follows the fallback behaviour you have selected in Settings. Choose the fallback that matches your comfort level, or use no fallback when a strictly curated list is the right experience.
