Move from Cart interest to a clearer purchase signal
The GoScript Smart Cart Recommendations WordPress plugin can connect a valid recommendation click with a later purchase of that recommended product inside a configurable attribution window. This gives your reports a practical way to show which Cart suggestions are attracting attention and contributing to plugin-defined attributed purchase activity.
It is a focused measurement model for your recommendation section: transparent enough to understand, useful enough to guide the next merchandising decision.
What becomes an attributed order?
When an order reaches Processing or Completed, the plugin checks for an unexpired attribution record connected to a purchased recommended product. When a valid match exists, the plugin records one attributed order and consumes that matching attribution record so it is not counted again.
This defined sequence keeps attributed-order reporting closely tied to real Cart recommendation interactions rather than treating every later order as a recommendation outcome.
How attributed revenue is recorded
For a qualifying attributed order, the plugin records the purchased recommended product’s line-item total as attributed revenue. This lets you see the value associated with recommendation-driven product purchases at a more useful level than clicks alone.
Review attributed revenue by product to spot the suggestions and product relationships that are creating the strongest signal in your current Cart strategy.
How conversion rate is calculated
In Smart Cart Recommendations reporting, conversion rate is calculated as attributed orders divided by recorded clicks. It gives you a clear view of how often recorded recommendation interactions progress to a qualifying attributed order under the plugin’s defined model.
Choose the attribution window that fits your buying journey
The default attribution window is 48 hours, and you can configure it in hours in the plugin settings. This gives your store room to reflect a realistic period between a shopper exploring a Cart recommendation and completing a purchase.
- Open Smart Cart Recommendations → Settings.
- Confirm interaction tracking is enabled.
- Set an attribution window that reflects your usual shopping and checkout journey.
- Save Settings, then allow fresh shopper activity to build the next reporting period.
Choose the window deliberately. It defines how long a qualifying click can remain available for a later matching purchase.
Read the metrics with confidence and context
Attributed orders, conversion rate, and attributed revenue describe this plugin’s defined click-to-purchase matching behaviour. They do not claim universal marketing causality or guarantee a broader sales outcome.
That clarity makes the metrics more useful: you can confidently use them to compare recommendation performance, recognise promising product relationships, and refine the Cart experience with evidence from your own store.
Keep the insight local to your store
Attribution records and reporting data are processed and stored locally in your WordPress and WooCommerce installation. The plugin does not send recommendation or reporting data to GoScript, does not create a dedicated analytics cookie, and removes expired attribution records through scheduled cleanup.
