How does Smart Cart Recommendations decide what to show?
The GoScript Smart Cart Recommendations WordPress plugin looks at the products already in the shopper’s Cart, then checks qualifying WooCommerce order history to find other products customers commonly bought alongside them. It combines that evidence across the Cart, applies your rules and exclusions, and ranks the strongest eligible suggestions first.
You can also use manual product lists for specific Cart products and select a fallback for situations where historical matches are limited.
Will it change the design of my Cart page?
The plugin adds its own recommendation section to the main WooCommerce Cart, while you control where it appears and how much product information is shown. It supports both the classic Cart and the WooCommerce Cart Block.
You can choose placement above or below the Cart, adjust the section title and product-display options, and use the scoped styling controls to help the section fit naturally into your existing storefront.
What if I don’t have enough order history yet?
You can choose what happens. Smart Cart Recommendations can use qualifying best sellers, newest products, or no fallback when global and manual candidates do not fill the section. You can also set manually selected recommendations for strategic products while co-purchase history grows.
This gives you a practical way to start building useful Cart discovery before every product has a deep purchase-history foundation.
Can I choose recommendations manually for certain products?
Yes. Individual products can use the global automatic co-purchase logic or a manually selected product list. Manual recommendations are useful for new products, strategic pairings, or any Cart item where you want direct control over what is considered for the recommendation section.
The final display safeguards still apply, so products already in the Cart, unavailable products, and globally excluded products are kept out of the shopper-facing result.
Can I keep certain products out of Cart recommendations?
Yes. You can exclude individual products, categories, and tags globally. The plugin also removes products already in the Cart, unavailable products, hidden products, out-of-stock products, non-purchasable products, duplicates, and other items that do not meet the final eligibility rules.
These controls help your Cart section stay focused on relevant products shoppers can genuinely act on.
Can I control when and where recommendations appear?
Yes. Place the recommendation section above or below the main Cart, set a minimum Cart subtotal, choose how many products to show, and control whether images, prices, and Add to Cart links are displayed.
The plugin is deliberately focused on the main Cart rather than the mini-cart, cart drawer, checkout, product pages, or after-purchase screens.
Is my recommendation data sent to GoScript?
No. Recommendation calculations, reporting, click attribution, and related analytics stay on your WordPress and WooCommerce site. The plugin does not send recommendation or reporting data to GoScript and does not create a dedicated analytics cookie.
Licensing requests are separate and contain only the information needed to activate and verify the license.
What happens when my trial or paid license expires?
When a trial expires, Cart recommendations and commercial tracking stop until a valid paid license is activated. If a paid license expires, an already activated site keeps working, but new downloads and new site activations are unavailable until you renew.
Your existing plugin settings and stored reporting data are preserved, giving you a clear foundation to continue from when the next active period begins.
