Getting Started

Requirements and WooCommerce Analytics

Set up the platform and WooCommerce data foundation that lets Smart Related Products turn real buying patterns into more relevant discovery.

Build on a reliable platform foundation

Before you configure Smart Related Products, confirm that your store is running WordPress 6.5 or later, PHP 7.4 or later, WooCommerce 8.2 or later, and an active WooCommerce installation.

WooCommerce is activeThe plugin needs WooCommerce installed and active in the same WordPress site.
Your theme renders related productsSmart Related Products changes recommendation IDs; WooCommerce and the active theme render the normal Related products area.

WooCommerce Analytics is required

Smart Related Products reads qualifying WooCommerce order history through WooCommerce Analytics. The plugin needs Analytics to be available along with the wc_order_product_lookup and wc_order_stats tables.

  1. Open Smart Related Products → Settings.
  2. Review the WooCommerce Analytics status shown by the plugin.
  3. Confirm that the required order lookup tables are available.
  4. Resolve Analytics or lookup-table warnings before expecting order-history recommendations or reports.

Existing order history

Smart recommendations become useful when your store has qualifying recent multi-product orders. The amount of available data depends on the history period, selected order statuses, minimum shared-order threshold, and the state of WooCommerce Analytics data for existing orders.

When the requirement is not ready

If the Analytics status or required lookup tables are unavailable, resolve the WooCommerce data issue before troubleshooting recommendation rules. If your store simply has limited co-purchase history, choose a fallback that fits the product context while order data develops.

  • Use the plugin’s Settings screen to identify Analytics and lookup-table availability.
  • Review WooCommerce’s own Analytics and data-management tools for store-specific synchronisation or import work.
  • Return to Smart Related Products after the underlying data is available, then review your history and threshold settings.

Next steps

Once your store meets the requirements, choose the right first configuration.
