Troubleshooting

No recommendations showing

Bring useful related products back into view with a clear set of checks for your recommendation data, settings, product rules, and WooCommerce storefront output.

Start with the storefront experience

Smart Related Products supplies recommendation IDs to WooCommerce’s native Related products flow; your active theme remains responsible for rendering the section and its product cards. Start by viewing the affected single-product page and confirming whether the normal WooCommerce Related products area is present.

Use the fastest path back to useful results

Work through these checks in order. Each one helps narrow the reason a product does not currently have an eligible smart result.

  1. Confirm the plugin has an active trial or paid license and Smart Recommendations are enabled.
  2. Open Smart Related Products → Settings and confirm WooCommerce Analytics plus the required lookup tables are available.
  3. Review whether the source product has qualifying multi-product order history under your current history, status, and shared-order rules.
  4. Check product-level mode, exclusions, candidate eligibility, fallback behavior, and recent cache changes.

Give the recommendation engine the right foundation

Smart recommendations are strongest when qualifying recent WooCommerce orders reveal products that shoppers bought together. If the source product has little current co-purchase history, broaden your view by reviewing the configured history period, qualifying statuses, shared-order threshold, and category or tag rule.

Check your purchase historyWooCommerce Analytics and its lookup data make the qualifying relationships available to Smart Related Products.
Review your matching rulesAdjust the rules thoughtfully to balance the breadth of available pairings with the confidence you want behind each one.

Review the controls that shape the final result

A product may have useful co-purchase evidence and still need a different final path. Confirm that its product-level mode allows Smart Recommendations, then review global exclusions, product availability, visibility, purchase status, and any configured fallback choice.

  • Use a fallback to keep the native Related products area useful when smart history is limited.
  • Review exclusions and product-level modes to make sure they support the outcome you want.
  • Clear saved recommendation results after a meaningful rule or product-level change when you want to see a fresh calculation right away.
