Reports & Analytics

Clicks and attributed orders

See which recommendations are earning meaningful shopper engagement-and how those verified journeys can become credited orders for the products you are promoting.

Track the recommendation visits that matter

A click is recorded when a shopper reaches a product after viewing a different same-site product page where that target was part of the current Smart Related Products result. This keeps your reports centered on recommendation relationships the plugin can confidently verify.

Confidence in every recorded click

With interaction tracking enabled, the plugin validates a recommendation-driven visit before recording it. The source and target products must be different, visible, purchasable, and in stock; the target must also have been in the source product’s currently stored recommendation set.

Verified relationshipThe browser arrives from a valid same-site WooCommerce product page to a currently recommended target.
Cooldown respectedThe configured repeat-click cooldown keeps repeat activity measured in a deliberate, useful way.

The validation also depends on WooCommerce Analytics and its order lookup data being available. The tracking flow works without theme-specific product-card selectors, tracking parameters, or an analytics cookie-keeping the measurement focused and privacy-conscious.

See what recommendations lead to purchases

When an order first reaches Processing or Completed, Smart Related Products processes it once. For each purchased target product, it looks for the latest valid, unexpired click for the same pseudonymous visitor and target product within your configured attribution window.

  1. A shopper makes a validated recommendation-driven visit to a target product.
  2. They purchase that target while the qualifying click is still within the attribution window.
  3. The relationship receives one attributed order for that target product.
  4. The relevant line-item revenue is credited to the same relationship.

Keep attribution clear and trustworthy

An attributed order is recorded only when there is a qualifying prior click, the attribution window is still active, the visitor and target product match, and the order reaches a processed status. Once a target product is attributed in an order, the temporary attribution record for that visitor and target is consumed so an older click cannot credit a later repeat purchase.
