Order history requirements

What makes order history usable?

The plugin considers orders that sit inside your selected history period and use one of your selected qualifying statuses. It then needs WooCommerce Analytics and its order lookup data to be available before it can work with those orders.

Multi-product orders reveal stronger connections

A smart relationship can only form when an order contains the product being viewed and another eligible product. Stores with more recent qualifying multi-product orders are more likely to develop useful co-purchase coverage across the catalogue.

1. A qualifying order includes the source product.
2. The same order includes one or more other products.
3. The plugin counts these co-purchase relationships across distinct qualifying orders.
4. The configured minimum shared-order threshold decides which relationships can be used.

How your settings affect coverage

The history period, qualifying order statuses, and minimum shared-order threshold all change the pool of available relationships. More selective settings may produce stronger evidence for each pair, while broader settings can help cover stores with less order history.

When history is limited

Limited order history does not mean the plugin is broken. It means there may not yet be enough qualifying co-purchase evidence for a product. Configure a fallback so you decide what the Related products area should do in that situation.

• Use best sellers, newest products, WooCommerce defaults, or no results as your fallback behavior.
• Check Analytics availability before treating a lack of results as an order-history issue.
• Review the current source and saved preview in the product editor where you need a product-specific answer.
