Follow the customer journey behind the report
Reports become active when Smart Related Products can validate a recommendation-driven visit and, where relevant, credit a later purchase of the same target product. The flow is deliberately focused on real recommendation relationships, giving you useful evidence about the product pairings customers engage with.
Start with the right report view
Before diagnosing activity, make sure the report is looking in the right place. Choose a 7-, 30-, or 90-day period, then clear or adjust the searchable Source Product and Recommended Product filters to reveal the relationships you want to review.
Confirm the tracking foundation is ready
Open Smart Related Products → Settings and check that interaction tracking is enabled, WooCommerce Analytics is available, and the required lookup tables are ready. Also confirm the plugin has an active trial or paid license, so the commercial runtime can collect and process recommendation activity.
- Confirm the source product currently displays a Smart Related Products result through the normal WooCommerce Related products area.
- Check that the target product is visible, purchasable, in stock, and different from the source product.
- Review the attribution window and repeat-click cooldown in Tracking & Attribution settings.
Create a clear path to insight
When you need to review a live relationship, begin on a source product with a displayed recommendation and follow the normal same-site journey to the recommended target. A qualifying visit can be recorded when the relationship and tracking checks pass; a later purchase of that target can be attributed when it reaches Processing or Completed inside the configured attribution window.
