Activation limits and site seats

What is a site seat?

A site seat is one active WordPress site connected to a single GoScript WordPress Plugin for WooCommerce license. Every license has its own activation limit, so you can use the license on the number of sites included with that specific product and term.

Read your activation usage

My Plugins displays activation usage as a simple count, such as 0/1, 1/1, or 1/3. The first number shows active site seats in use. The second number shows the activation limit for that license.

0/1 - one site readyNo WordPress site is currently using the license, and one site seat is ready for activation.

1/1 - fully in useOne WordPress site is active on a one-site license. Deactivate that site before moving the license to a replacement site.

1/3 - room to growOne of three included site seats is active, leaving two available for additional permitted WordPress installations.

How limits apply to your licenses

Activation limits belong to the individual license, not to your account as a whole. If you own several GoScript WooCommerce plugin licenses, each one has its own product, status, limit, and usage count. This keeps a new purchase, a renewal, or a separate license easy to understand in My Plugins.

• An active paid license can activate new WordPress sites until it reaches its stated activation limit.
• An active trial can activate WordPress sites until it reaches the trial limit shown for that license.
• A normal new purchase creates a separate paid license with its own activation usage.
• Renewing an eligible paid license extends that same license, so its existing activation usage stays connected to it.

Moving to a new WordPress site

When you want to move a GoScript WordPress Plugin for WooCommerce license from one WordPress site to another, release the existing site seat first. Open the plugin’s License screen on the site you no longer want to use and choose its deactivate action. You can then reveal the same key in My Plugins and activate it on the replacement site.

1. Open the active WordPress site where the plugin is currently licensed.
2. Open the matching GoScript plugin’s License screen.
3. Use the plugin’s deactivate action to release that site seat.
4. Confirm the lower usage count in My Plugins.
5. Activate the same license key on the replacement WordPress or WooCommerce site.

Choose the right license as you grow

Use the product name, status, and activation usage in My Plugins to select the best license for the WooCommerce site you are working on. If the usage count is already full, you can release a site seat from an existing activation or choose an additional license that suits your next site.
