Setting up your account after purchase

Your purchase is recorded first

When you complete a direct paid purchase through Stripe using an email address that does not yet belong to a GoScript account, GoScript securely fulfills the purchase after Stripe confirms the payment. It creates the paid license first, then prepares a pending account for that checkout email so you can claim secure portal access.

How account setup works

After the verified payment is fulfilled, GoScript sends a Purchase account setup email to the address used at checkout. That email contains a one-time link that opens the secure setup page.

1. Open the Purchase account setup email sent to your checkout address.
2. Select the one-time setup link in the message.
3. Review the masked email shown on the setup page to confirm you are completing the right account.
4. Choose a password with at least 8 characters and enter it again to confirm.
5. Select Complete account setup.
6. GoScript activates the account, signs you in automatically, and opens My Plugins.

What you can do after setup

Once setup is complete, your new account is ready for the practical actions that keep a WordPress plugin moving forward.

If the setup email is missed or expired

Setup links are one-time and valid for 48 hours when issued. If you cannot find the email, the link has expired, or you are returning to a purchase later, use Account recovery with the same checkout email. The portal keeps the response generic for privacy, but a pending account receives fresh setup instructions rather than a password-reset message.

• Check the inbox and spam or promotions folders for the Purchase account setup email.
• Use Account recovery with the exact email address used at Stripe checkout.
• Use the newest setup link only. A new setup request supersedes an earlier unused link.
• Do not create a second account just to recover access to an existing direct purchase.

When you already have a GoScript account

If the checkout email matches an existing active GoScript account, there is no separate setup step. The new paid license is added to that account and GoScript sends a purchase-license-issued email. Sign in to My Plugins to see it once fulfillment has completed.

For a normal new purchase, a different checkout email can create a separate customer identity. Use the email already associated with your GoScript account when you want a new purchase to be placed in that existing workspace.

Account setup is not WordPress activation

Account setup creates access to the GoScript Customer Portal. It does not connect the plugin to a WordPress site. After signing in, reveal your license key, download the current release, install it in WordPress, then use the plugin’s License screen to activate that license for your site host.
