See the demand behind every product decision
GoScript Price Drop Alerts for WooCommerce adds a focused Price Drops tab to WooCommerce product editing. It brings the most useful current demand and post-email performance signals into the product workflow, so you can act without switching between multiple reports just to understand one item.
Use it to see which products customers want at a lower price, which variations are attracting attention, and what happens after a price-drop email is accepted.
Where to find product-level intelligence
In your WordPress admin, open a WooCommerce product and select Product data → Price Drops. The panel is available on product edit screens and contains a reporting-period selector, product-level metrics, active demand details, the product-level pause toggle, and a shortcut to the full reports page with that product already selected.
Choose one of four reporting periods: Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or Last 90 days. The active-demand totals remain focused on customers watching now, while the performance metrics use the reporting period you choose.
What the product metrics show
The Price Drops tab presents six practical metrics for the product:
- Current watchers: distinct customer accounts actively watching this product right now.
- New price watches: new watches created during the selected reporting period.
- Customers notified: unique customers sent a Price Drop Alert during the selected period.
- Purchases after email: qualifying purchases made after Price Drop emails in that period.
- Email-to-sale conversion: the share of accepted price-drop emails that led to a qualifying purchase.
- Revenue after email: reconciled revenue from qualifying purchases after Price Drop emails.
Read these metrics together. A product with growing current watchers may signal future price-sensitive demand, while a strong purchase and revenue result shows how a completed price-drop moment performed after the email.
What Current watchers means
Current watchers is the number of unique customer accounts with at least one active watch for the parent product. It is a customer-demand count, not a count of every raw watch row. If the same customer watches more than one variation of a variable product, they contribute one current watcher to the parent-product total.
That makes the metric especially useful for deciding how many distinct customers are currently interested in an item, rather than overstating demand when one shopper follows multiple options.
See demand by exact variation
For a variable product, the active-demand section lists the exact variations customers are watching and the distinct watcher count for each one. This exposes demand that a broad parent-product price range could hide: a particular size, colour, or option may be carrying the real price-watch interest.
The panel shows the most-watched active variations first and displays up to 20 variation rows per page. Use the previous and next controls when more variations have active demand.
For a simple product, the same section presents the current demand for that one item instead.
Use the Price Watchers column in Products
The WooCommerce Products list includes a Price Watchers column. It shows the same parent-product current unique watcher count, giving you a quick demand scan across the catalogue without opening each product.
Click the column heading to sort products by Price Watchers in ascending or descending order. Products with no active watchers sort as zero, making it easy to surface the items where price-sensitive demand is building or to find products that are not attracting watch interest yet.
The column is a live operational signal, not a historical total. Completed and cancelled watches no longer count. A paused watch remains preserved as active customer demand until it is removed or completed, so read the count alongside the product and watch status context.
Open the full report when you need more context
At the bottom of the Price Drops tab, select View full report to open the Price Drop Alerts reports page with the current product and selected period already applied. This is the fastest path from a product-level signal to deeper trend, demand, and performance analysis.
Use the product editor for immediate merchandising decisions. Use the full report when you want to compare the product against wider store activity, review chart trends, or export data for planning.
Turn the numbers into smarter action
- High current watchers, low price movement: consider whether a targeted promotion or scheduled sale could unlock demand.
- One variation leading demand: review its stock, availability, product content, and pricing before making a broad parent-product decision.
- Strong purchases after email: use the product’s successful price-drop pattern to inform similar products.
- Low conversion after alerts: review target expectations, product availability, price competitiveness, and the customer email journey.
Use the signals as informed evidence, not an automatic pricing instruction. The strongest decisions pair the plugin’s customer-demand data with your margins, stock position, and brand strategy.
