Waitlists & Eligibility

How Back in Stock waitlists work

GoScript Back in Stock WordPress Plugin for WooCommerce captures genuine purchase intent while an item is out of stock, then brings the right shoppers back when meaningful stock returns.

Demand captured at the right moment

When a simple product or exact variation is out of stock, GoScript Back in Stock for WooCommerce gives signed-in shoppers a clear way to ask to be notified. Each active waitlist entry belongs to one customer and one exact item, keeping customer self-service simple and merchant demand signals useful.

The waitlist journey

  1. A shopper opens an eligible unavailable product or selects an eligible unavailable variation.
  2. They select the Notify Me control and sign in if needed.
  3. Their account joins the waitlist for that exact item and the control changes to the active state.
  4. When stock becomes eligible, the plugin prepares notifications in the background and checks availability again before each email.
  5. After a successful notification, the customer can revisit the item from My Account and your reports begin connecting activity with outcomes.

What happens after a notification

A successful email closes the active waitlist entry and makes the item available in the customer’s Back in Stock account history for 30 days. If the same customer later places a qualifying paid order for the exact notified item within the attribution window, GoScript Back in Stock for WooCommerce records the purchase and matching net product revenue.

A better experience for customers and merchants

Customers can manage their waiting items from My Account instead of relying only on their inbox. Meanwhile, your store can see current unique demand, notification activity, purchases, and attributed revenue in the Back in Stock workspace - all from data kept in your WordPress database.
