Waitlists & Eligibility

Stock management and notification thresholds

Choose the right point for GoScript Back in Stock WordPress Plugin for WooCommerce to tell shoppers that an out-of-stock item is truly ready to buy again.

Notify when stock is meaningful

The minimum stock quantity setting lets you wait until enough managed stock has returned before notifications begin. This gives your store a more confident restock moment and helps avoid inviting a full waitlist back for a very small quantity.

Set your threshold

  1. Open Back in Stock → Settings.
  2. Find the Restock rules section.
  3. Enter the minimum stock quantity you want before notifications are sent.
  4. Save your changes.

For products with WooCommerce-managed numeric stock, the item must be in stock and at or above this quantity. For products without a managed numeric quantity, WooCommerce’s in-stock status is used.

Stock is checked again before each email

GoScript Back in Stock for WooCommerce checks the product or variation again immediately before a notification is handed off for sending. If the item sells out or falls below the threshold during processing, that customer remains waiting for the next qualifying restock.

Choose a threshold that fits your catalog

For limited or fast-moving items, a higher threshold can give more customers a meaningful chance to return before stock disappears. For regularly replenished products, a lower threshold can help you reconnect with demand sooner. Start with the stock level that feels dependable for your store, then refine it as you learn from restock activity.
