A focused pause for one product
GoScript Back in Stock WordPress Plugin for WooCommerce includes a product-level control for cases where a single product needs different treatment from the rest of your catalogue. It is ideal for a discontinued line, a temporary supplier issue, or a product that is being revised before it returns.
Switching the control on pauses new waitlist subscriptions and restock notifications for that product. It gives you immediate control without changing your wider Back in Stock settings.
Find the product-level control
Open the product in WooCommerce → Products, then open the product data area and select the Back in Stock tab. The product-level intelligence panel places the control alongside the demand and performance information for that product.
The setting applies to the product itself. For a variable product, it gives you one clear way to pause its Back in Stock experience across the product and its variations.
Disable Back in Stock for a product
- Open WooCommerce → Products.
- Edit the product you want to pause.
- Open the Back in Stock product data tab.
- Enable Disable Back in Stock for this product.
- Update the product to save your change.
- Visit the out-of-stock product page to confirm the waitlist control is no longer shown.
When you are ready to welcome interest again, return to the same setting, turn it off, and update the product. The preserved subscriptions can continue with the product’s Back in Stock journey.
What pauses while the setting is on
- New customers cannot join a waitlist for the product.
- Existing subscriptions do not receive Back in Stock notifications while the product-level pause applies.
- The product remains in your WooCommerce catalogue and its previous Back in Stock history remains available for review.
- The pause does not delete customer subscriptions or erase product-level insight.
Plan product changes with confidence
A focused product pause lets your store respond cleanly to changing supply plans. You can keep the rest of your GoScript Back in Stock for WooCommerce experience working as normal while ensuring this product only re-enters the waitlist flow when it is ready.
Before turning the setting off, confirm the product’s stock and restock threshold are ready for the customer experience you want to deliver.
