Anonymous you are completely wrong. Google is even indexing Flash files, not to mention about JavaScript.

Check on Google Webmaster Central blog where thae states they do index JavaScript but not all kind of JavaScript.

You will not get your google ads indexed, or highly advanced scripts that use different variables and multiple calls, but simple javascript is indexed and it’s a well known fact.

I just uploaded the update and it is not a php file and it doesn’t work. I renamed it in an effort to get it to work but no dice.

I have specified this in info.txt but you probably missed to read it.
The other file is to be used only in conjunction with some themes.

@Lawrence: 99.9% are having javascript enabled. Having it disabled will even forbidden you to login your email account. I really don’t think this would be a problem.

Wow. This is probably one of the best WP scripts I’ve come across in years.

Believe me, it does exactly what it says it will. I have deliberately place what I knew was a duplicate content article, did teh copyscape test, and the exact same article, including the same title came back through copyscape as no duplicate content found.

My article was considered “unique”.

@Marcusa: Most likely you are using feedwordpress to import posts and you haven’t read info.txt for the compatibility instructions. Please do and everything will be just fine.

Looks like when I go to the category page, the posts just show the script function (i.e. “document.write(String.fromCharCode…”. I’m assuming that there is no way to get rid of that?

In some posts, I get a funny symbol in front on bullet points like an A symbol. Also when I use ‘, I get the same funny symbol.

If the Search engines are able to read this java scrip (which i have no doubt they can, as i have read about googles recent advancements in this field only recently) what’s there to stop them from still comparing the articles to the other duplicates out there?

I mean, the code may be different, but if they can translate the code into the words of the article and read them, why wouldn’t they take those words and compare them with the HTML versions of the article?

The fact that copyscape doesn’t do this comparison doesn’t really mean anything, they are always going to be less advanced than google (google has a lot more money for development), do we even know if they can read this java script like google can?

It’s all about the way you display the content. Even if the content is after all the same, SE care about the way you display it.

Let’s take blogs for example: if you write a post, the same text will be displayed both on homepage, category page, archives page, the post itself, even tags pages.

Despite the fact that you will display the same content in 5 pages on your blog, you won’t get penalized for this, your pages will not fall into duplicate. Why? Because SE understand that this is the normal way they will get displayed.

The same goes for Uniquefier. Even if the article is the same after all, because we display it in a different manner SE will not put it into dupe, but take it as unique.

No footprint it’s being left. Starting with v3, the html chars notations (#) have been replaced with a new technique by using javascript calls.

There are many people using it with no problems at all.

Btw, PR has nothing to do with the content of the blog, it’s all about backlinks.

Interesting plugin but have a couple of questions. Aren’t you basically trying to fool the search engines by displaying 2 different versions of a post for example? I know Google frowns on this quite a bit. I’m not judging the ethics of the plugin as I’m all for any edge I can get, but would hate for my sites to drop off the face of Google because they caught on.

Secondly, does this plugin affect only posts or pages as well? I would only be interested in having affect posts as any pages I have are unique content already.

Again, I’m not judging the plugin, just looking for clarification as I am interested.

Jay, let’s take a blog for example. The same article is being displayed both on the single post page, on the categories page and on the archives page. But Google will not put any in dupe content.
Somehow, the same principle it is being applied by Uniquefier too. SE also care about the way you display the content. Because we display it in a different manner, they will take it as unique and get indexed.

Uniquefier works on posts and pages as well. But you can specify if you don’t want any post or pages to be modified. Just add the word DONOTCHANGE in the post/page and Uniquefier will skip it.

I copied plugin to my plugins folder, but when I go and activate it. I see two plugin entries for activation. They seem like the same plugin, so I activated one. I checked my site, and it doesn’t seem to work. Have you seen this b4? And do you have any suggestions.

The plugin works now, but if I do not want to a change a page using uniquifier, can I still use the DONOTCHANGE command?

Also I see uniquifier uses some kind form of javascript, does this affect google from seeing these pages? I asking because Javascript is not good for SEO purposes.

Yes, you can add DONOTCHANGE in a page you don’t want modified.
The javascript we are using is being indexed. Not all javascripts do, but this one it’s being indexed for sure.

Howdy again! I have two questions.

1. I have uploaded both plugins to my blog. When I check copyscape on my home page it passes completely. However when I check the comments pages it gives me a California football schedule pdf that has nothing to do with my site or anything on the page. Any ideas what to do about this?

2.The forum2blog plugin uploaded fine, but when I went to activate it, it is no where to be found. I tried uploading it again and I get an error message “Folder already exists.: info.txt” therefore installation fails. I tried deleting the forum2blog file through cpanel but I still get the same error message. Any suggestions?

this is a great plug-in. U have tons of PLR content and was dreading having to make each post unique.

I know I read somewhere that you could have certain sentences and/or keyword phrases within a post not be subject to the script. I know DONOTCHANGE is for a whole post, but how do I achieve this within the middle of a post/article.

The past versions offered the keyword/sentence no change possibility. But from v3.0 there is no need for anything like this as the Uniquefier engine has been modified.

SE will see your keywords and you will rank for as usual.

WHY are the search engines able to see your keywords if all of the code is altered as in the video? The image alt tags, H1 and H2 tags, and keywords throughout the article…if they’re all changed automatically with no more “No Change” possiblity, then how does it work? Can you make a comparison between these two scenarios and make a comment: Which post will rank higher for the keyword assuming everything else is equal?

1. Post1(website1):
Uniquefier: Activated
Article Content: PLR X
Keywords: Keywords using AllIn1SEO plugin.
Advantage: 100%unique content
Disadvantage: Google cannot see article content at all.

2. Post2(website2):
Uniquefier: De-activated
Article Content: PLR X (same as above)
Keywords: Same keywords using AllIn1SEO plugin.
Advantage: Article content is keyword optimized and google can see this.
Disadvantage: 0% Uniqueness

@Dee: The image tags, H1, H2 and any other tags are not being changed.
Uniquefier it’s now placing the article under a javascript call. When SE index the article they run the javascript and see the article. But because we displayed the article in a different manner they will take it as unique.

Hi Tom, you are making a wrong assumption: by using Uniquefier, SE will see your article. We only place it under a javascript call that it’s being run by the SE when indexing. But because of using this method they take it as unique content.

The #1 method is the one that will bring you traffic. If you only place PLR articles on your site without using Uniquefier to make SE think the content is unique, you will get no traffic.

@Hino Trucks: The posts do look natural as we are not changing words from the articles. To the visitors the article will remain the same. Changes are being done just for the bots.

I am finding that the posts themselves are encrypted fine. However, the comments are NOT encrypted. This is very disappointing, as now I still have to go through all the comments by hand and spin them to avoid duplicate content.

Is there an easy modification to your script that will encrypt the comments too?

But you can activate it by opening uniquefier.php and adding the following 2 lines of code:

Bought your script and have it installed at computernl [ d o t ] nl. I use it in combination with Feedwordpress and just removed the 2 lines of code in feedwordpress.php.

When I check copyscape a minimum of 10 articles appears duplicate.

Now that I removed the uniquefierA.php and moved the uniquefier.php to the plugin root folder, the plugin works fine!

After installing the plugin I did a check on one of my pages and had a single duplicate page appear on Copyscape. But the duplicate content was just the titles of the PLR content I’d used. I’m guessing that’s probably the keyword part that gets separated? Anyway, I’m going to rewrite all the titles in future.

But yeah, I must say, this is an amazing plugin you have here!

Just the standard Wordpress info. I guess I just need find where I can disable that text appearing.

Uniquefier does produce original content. I downloaded it about a week ago. Haven’t had much time to work with it but did install on a test blog. So far I have about 40 published articles posted and all have been checked by copyscape and article checker and they ALL show as original content. Now waiting to see if searchengines will index.

Hello, I have just activated the Uniquefier plugin on an affiliate datafeed wordpress site and everything seems to be working well, with one exception. I have tried both uniquefier.php and uniquefierA.php and they both result in the following code being displayed next to every post reference within the specific category pages:

@tamer: Tamer this is not an article rewriter, Uniquefier will not spin words so you will get a garbage output with no meaning. To the visitors the article will remain the same, the changes are being done just in the page source for the bots.

Just sent you an email. I installed the plugin on a site along with your Digg New Feed plugin. I imported a DIGG article then checked it with copyscape and it comes up as not unique. I see where the code has been changed in the source to a bunch of numbers but not coming up unique in copyscape. Please check my email.

@Sam: Yes it is completely safe to use it with Adsense. Also, there are no indexing problems. Using just duplicate content will definitely get you banned sooner or later. By using Uniquefier you can make sure this will not happen.

@Soumyo: The spider emulator you are using is not running the javascript as the bots do when they index the pages.

I have uniquefier on several sites and all work well except this last one. I have an adsense ad placed at top and bottom of page and the top ad does not show in internet explorer. It shows fine in firefox and flock.
When I deactivate uniquefier the top ad appears in explorer. I’m using theme nono 1.0

My issue is only with my search button…
When I type a topic to be found in my website it displays the result BUT WITH A SERIES OF NUMBERS which cross all my page including my side bars…
If you wish to see the result you can go to my site and ask at the right top in the search area for example “pagerank” and see what I got…
This is ugly and someone told me it is because of the added Javascript…
Is there any way to have a clean search result and still having the advantage of this script?

Then, i searched and found others have the same problem as mine in wp support page. The answer in that page is the error must be because of the Uniquefier. So i deactivate the plug in and the result is an error code was disappeared. Please let me know could i have the way to use Uniquefier 3.0 without an error like i mentioned above.

When I use basic latest 3.2 version, I get #’s , but when I use “A” version, my view source shows no change. I have two sites set up stickebookmarksforfree.com with “A” version and stickebookmarks.com with basic version( no change in view page source), please help.

I have added this to my wordpress site in combination to the imdb import mod thing.

When I look at the source the whole content is put into javascript.

I went to some spider simulators and they dont read any of the actual content and these are how search engine spiders work…

Until my site gets indexed i wont know for sure but if the search engine spider simulators dont read the content the search engines wont either…

Have I done something rong?

In the page source you must see numbers as this is how Uniquefier works. There is no problem with SE.

@Sam: The problem with those spiders is that they do not work as SE does. A SE for example reads and runs the javascripts from the page which spider emulators does not.

You content it’s being seen by SE.

The script works for both posts AND pages, right?

Do we need to upload both uniquefier and uniquefierA php files? There are these two in the folder, but the instructions say to only upload uniquefier.php

Also, if you read the instructions again carefully, there is mentioned that you have to use uniquefier.php and uniquefierA.php it’s to be used only on some themes.

Hi. I have one of the older version of the Uniquefier plugin. I’m looking forward to downloading and testing the newest version.

Is there a possibility of creating a stand-alone version for more static sites? I realize it works with Wordpress as the post is read from the database, which is of course a bit different for a static site - but, perhaps it’s possible? The attached site is a combination of static and blog - the eBay listings are generated from a special script on the static site. I could probably add an include script to the eBay script so that the Uniquefier functionality are duplicated….

As far as Google and the SERPs reading javascript - yes, I’ve seen some of the spider emulators read JS (Chitika is a good example) and render the output. So, I guess there must be a certain amount of that by the search engines. Not sure how much is read though.

Now, what I worry about - suppose I get an article from a source and another Uniquefier user gets the same article from the same source. Won’t the “masked” output from both blogs be identical? Is that a problem, or is the sidebar and other differences enough to cover?

Yes something like this can be done, but it is specific to each and every script. I can create custom scripts based on your needs, but I will need a copy of that script.

As for someone having the same article this is not causing a real trouble, but just to be same I will be adding a random key feature to Uniquefier which will cause the “mask” to be unique.

I bought and installed “Uniquefier 3.3″.

Under plugins in my blog, I see 2 entries for Uniquefier.

I am able to activate one of them. When I try to activate the second one I get the following error message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare conv_utf8_iso8859_7() (previously declared in /home/acercomp/public_html/wp-content/plugins/uniquefier/uniquefierA.php:17) in /home/acercomp/public_html/wp-content/plugins/uniquefier/uniquefier.php on line 40

Can you please advise seeing that the plugin does not seem to be working.

By the way, I am using Artisteer to build my themes.

@Khal: You must upload just uniquefier.php and activate it. uniquefierA.php it’s to be used just in case the frist one fails on some themes.

How do I check to make sure the plug in passes the copyscape test. Do I just copy and paste an article after I post it in copyscape?

Yes, it definitely works with Wordpress Mu, as that’s what I’m using myself and do regular Copyscape checks.

I’ve tried this on 3 blogs so far but when I view the source I just see a string of numbers.

Replaced it with uniquifierA but still the same.

Am I missing something obvious? Should I be renaming uniquifierA to uniquifier or something?

I upgrade to 3.0 but nothing seems to happen in the source. I just see the original text.
