i have a few Q’s regarding this script.
1. Does step 1 mean that i have to to paste every link i need the review for on the site?
2. Will it import these links as well?
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0045393/
3. is it legal to use your script and pull content from imdb?
Thanks
Hi Dave,
1. You can place as many links you want imported at once. Just select a couple of movie links from imdb and paste them into the field.
2. No, it won’t import that as it’s not a movie page, it’s an actor.
3. Sure it’s legal, you can find this info on tons of websites absolutely free. Imdb it’s even offering download links for all this info.
Petre,
Your plug-ins perform as advertised. Uniquefier and Movieautomator make my site look very professional and allows me to offer great information about the latest movies to my website visitors.

Is it possible to include affiliate link to the post or
image ? Any idea ?
thank u.
Dmos
@Dmos: can you explain more on this so that I can fully understand what do you exactly mean?
My belief was that all imdb content was subject to a licence except if you use their widget. If this is the case then scraping their content is clearly not legal.
You say they provide links to download all this. I would be happier if you could detail the specific links that permit this.
Do that and I will purchase.
Thanks.
@Confucious:
Sure thing, here is the link:
http://www.imdb.com/interfaces
All the imdb data is posted by users like you and me and shared among many sites.
More, the name of the author is being specified on every post as required.
Cheers
do you know what would made this script rock??? the ability to add automatically a trailer… it could fetch automatically from youtube or something viable…
i would buy tihs script imeddiatly if it had this features
Hi! How to grab many links from Imdb at one time? (because it takes all day to copy/paste 1000 links)
@Dmitriy:
If you are using firefox, use this addon to be able to view and select all the links from the page at once:
https://addons.mozilla.org/ro/firefox/addon/7978
Petre, can you send new download link for this script - old expires and now I need this script, but can’t find local copy =)
r***l@*9.*u please =)
@Basil: Sure, send me an email with your paypal email you made the purchase with and will send you a download link.
Thanks, received via DP PM and downloaded =)
I don’t see a follow-up from dmoz, and I had the same questions, which is:
Is it possible to add an affiliate link to amazon, ebay store, or similar to the movie review’s image or in the review? Similar to the WP alinks plugin?
If that’s not clear, email me and I’ll see if I can get you an example.
@Main Street Marketing: Please send me an email with an example to understand exactly what you mean.
GoSCRIPT, this is a your great! was wondering if there is any way to post the posts to pages instead of categories?
@jack: Thanks. No, Wordpress posts can have as parent a category, not a page. When you create a post, you must specify a category for it to be placed under.
Hi,
Just purchased all your pluggins..Can I also get movies trailers automatically added like movie info to my site
@ripple: For now movie trailers can’t be added. I’m working on a feature that will add a video from youtube, but there is no guarantee that it will match the correct video.
Hi,
I want to increase the size of the thumb nail or picture when it’s posted as a summary on the main blog..is this possible..pls check out website freemovieshub.com/blog..new posts only show text, i want to add pictures with it
@ripple: For now you cannot change the movie picture size. Just checked your site and it looks you are using a theme that needs a custom key field in order to show you those thumbnails.
Hi I want all 5 send me details of how to buy for the $40 cheers
Luke
Hi,
Can I have my own categories? I mean categories based on actors, language region etc..
Regards
PK
@PK: Yes, you can have what categories you like. Movie Automator will detect your blog categories and let you select the one you want to import into.
Hi,
when i see my movietown.com page source i found many code like this,
Director: Tim Hill Release Date: 14 December 2007 (USA) Run Time : USA:92 min</li
it this using unieqfier plugin?
Thanks
@Pronos: No, it seems you have not activated it.
Hi,
I already purchase Movie Automator and I would like to change the layout so would be more unique. Please inform me how to do it.
Thanks.
@Frank: Hi Frank, right now you cannot change the layout, but I am working on this.
I installed the script and it pulls all the text perfectly but the images generate a ‘cannot stream’ error. Any suggestions?
Mark
@Mark: did you chmod 777 the posters folder?
That fixed it. Thank you!
Any chance of getting this to automatically pull tags for the blog posts?
@Sam: Yes, it’s being under work. Actually all of my scripts are under work as new features will be added to them all.
Heya again
Can you also make the script check to see if there is already a post title the same as the one being imported and if so not import it
Cheers
Loving it so far btw xD
@Sam: It could be done but this way the script will take a lot to create the posts especially if you already have an increased number of movies imported.
